Home based care
na dada, through its trained community health work (CHWs), carries out home based care for people living with AIDS and support
for orphans and vulnerable children. This includes nursing care, practical support psychotherapy, counselling and legal advice.
Our main focus is to Fight AIDS with Nutrition and Education”.
Mama na dada conducts Action Research with its service users as
focusing on sexual exploitation and discrimination of girl child, and causes of risky behaviour among youth .the organization
has carried out several studies on girl child school drop out in Bondo District .It has also conducted case studies on sexual
harassment / abuse and exploitation among young girls by people in authority
Youth and VCT centre
of its objectives, Mama na dada runs Recreational youth and VCT centre both in Bondo District and Nairobi. The services in these centres are provided by trained and qualified counsellors /trainers
who have extensive experience in youth work
Irrespective of HIV status, all VCT client are encouraged to join
our post test clubs, which provide support and increasing awareness on HIV/AIDS in the community.
Youth Exchange programme
Mama Na Dada has
a strong youth based, Stay Alive Youth Club, which benefits from membership from multiracial, religious and ethnics background
in Kenya. this hence a rich inter-cultural exchange
and learning forum for youth .
